Asian universities and the communities offer numerous sports clubs for students to participate in and even skiing can be easily accesseible in both Japan and Korea. Certain areas of Japan have some of the greatest snow conditions and a ton to offer in the way of ski-able terrain.

 South Korea can also hold its own when hosting avid skiers. In Korea skiers can choose from 13 different ski resorts; one of which, Yongpyong Resort, is currently a candidate in the bid for the 2014 Winter Olympics!

Mahidol University (Thailand)

Thailand's Mahidol University has organized Muay Thai instruction. This form of martial arts is somewhat similar to Western boxing and is Thailands's national sport.

 At  Korea University as with most universities in Korea, a popular sport for students to train in is Soo Bahk Do an indigenous art of self defense.

 

 

 

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Japan), Swinburne University of Technology (Malaysia) 

In Japan at  Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University and Malaysia at Swinburne University of Technology, students can participatein Aikido martial arts.

Besides skiing and martial arts the universities sponsor all kinds of sports clubs including; ping pong, football, rugby, soccer, dance, bowling, basketball and more. Studying in Asia is a great way for students to familiarize themselves with a wide range of sports.
