| The AustraLearn/AsiaLearn/EuroLearn Alumni Photo Contest is held each year in January/February. Information is sent out to all eligible alumni (participants from the previous year) via email in December/January inviting you to submit your photos. Voting occurs in February of each year. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place.
Submission Guidelines Typically, you may submit up to two photos and at least one should have people in the photo if possible. Also, they must have been taken while you were studying/interning/traveling in Asia. They MUST be photographed by you OR photographed on your camera. Otherwise, there are no other guidelines.
Send your photos to alumni@asialearn.org (JPG preferred) or by snail mail to AsiaLearn (address at bottom of webpage). Re-sizing will be done with AsiaLearn so you can send the photo at any file size but higher resolutions are preferred. Please also provide the following info when submitting your photos: - your name
- home university
- Asian university or program name
- photo titles
*** NOTE - By submitting your photos, you agree to allow AsiaLearn to post them on the AsiaLearn website as well as use them in future print and web publications.
*** AsiaLearn reserves the right to not accept or post any photos that display drinking or other inappropriate behavior.
Prizes: 1st Place - The Travel Book by Lonely Planet (hardback - $50 value)
2nd Place - Subscription to Glimpse Magazine ($25 value) - Glimpse magazine fosters cross-cultural understanding and exchange, particularly between the United States and the rest of the world, by providing forums for sharing the experiences of young adults living and studying abroad.
3rd Place - a travel photography book (appx. $15 value)
Contributing Photos Year Round You are also welcome to submit photos at any time of the year if you just want to share them with AsiaLearn. Alumni photos have helped our publications and website stand out above others, and we always welcome more contributions. Submit photos at any time to alumni@asialearn.org (high quality, JPG files preferred). Thanks in advance for your contribution!
