Even though your friends at home may no longer be interested in hearing the heaps and heaps of stories that you now have, there are plenty of people out there that are, especially students who are thinking about studying abroad themselves. Sharing your experience is an important part of the re-entry experience, so we strongly encourage you to reach beyond your own friends and family and find other ways to communicate the experience that you just encountered. AsiaLearn has created several avenues for helping you express the ups and downs of your recent journey through photographs, written words, and face-to-face contact: BE AN ALUMNI REFERRAL - We often refer our prospective students to alumni to help them narrow down their university choice or get a detailed impression of what their study abroad program might be like. LEARN MORE> PHOTO CONTEST - Each January/February, we host a photo contest for all AsiaLearn alumni. We invite you to submit a couple photos in next year's contest. LEARN MORE> WRITING - Sharing your blog, sending in exceprts from your journal, or writing up a fresh version of your favorite story from your time abroad is an awesome way to express yourself. AsiaLearn uses these writings in various ways to help promote study abroad to potential students. We also provide info on writing contests. LEARN MORE> STUDY ABROAD FAIRS - AsiaLearn invites the most recent two semesters of alumni to join us at study abroad fairs around the country. Keep an eye out for emails to notify you of events on your campus that you can attend as an alumni of the AsiaLearn program. You'll have a chance to show off your pictures and talk as much as you want about all the great things the country has to offer. ENCOMPASS PROGRAM - AsiaLearn's active alumni program is an ideal way to stay connected to your experience through various activities (including all of the above) designed to help you develop personally and professionally.
